The Business Developer & CRM is responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, and overseeing the company’s CRM system. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, generating leads, and converting them into long-term customers. The position also focuses on maintaining excellent customer relationships through the effective use of CRM tools, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting the sales and operations teams. The role is crucial in expanding the company’s presence in the logistics, freight forwarding, and trading sectors by combining strong business development strategies with effective customer relationship management.
Business Developer & CRM Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in logistics, shipping, and freight forwarding.
- Research market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support strategic growth.
- Generate qualified leads, prepare proposals, and present tailored freight solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with marketing to plan campaigns, promotions, and customer outreach.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Maintain and manage the CRM system, ensuring accurate and updated customer data.
- Track customer interactions, monitor sales pipeline, and provide insights to management.
- Follow up with clients on inquiries, quotations, and after-sales service.
- Develop strategies to improve customer engagement, loyalty, and retention.
- Coordinate with operations and documentation teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Strategic Coordination & Reporting
- Support the CEO and management in setting sales and growth strategies.
- Prepare periodic sales performance reports and present market insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas agents, shipping lines, and suppliers.
- Act as a key link between clients and internal departments to deliver high-quality service.
Business Developer Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in business development or CRM (preferably in logistics or freight forwarding).
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems (Odoo preferred), lead generation, and customer engagement strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP/CRM systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
