The Clearance & Banking Officer (Outdoor) is responsible for handling outdoor clearance operations, banking transactions, and coordination with customs authorities, shipping lines, and other external agencies. This role ensures smooth container release, payment of shipping line invoices, and the renewal of company documents and licenses. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of customs procedures, shipping operations, and banking transactions while being proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time-sensitive tasks in the field.

Clearance & Banking Officer Job Responsibilities


Customs & Clearance Operations

  • Follow up on import and export clearance processes at ports, airports, and customs offices.
  • Coordinate with customs authorities to ensure the timely release of containers and cargo.
  • Handle document submissions, payments, and clearance approvals.
  • Support the logistics team in resolving clearance-related issues.

Banking & Financial Transactions

  • Process payments to shipping lines, customs authorities, and service providers.
  • Handle deposits, withdrawals, and other financial transactions on behalf of the company.
  • Submit and collect documents from banks for trade, freight, and customs operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Collect, submit, and verify shipping orders, bills of lading, and other trade-related documents.
  • Renew company licenses, permits, and registrations as required.
  • Maintain proper filing of clearance and banking documents.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies and government regulations.

Clearance & Banking Officer Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or diploma in Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in clearance, banking, or logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of customs procedures, shipping line requirements, and banking processes.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage outdoor tasks efficiently.
  • Valid driving license is an advantage.
