We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Executive in Freight Forwarding & Logistics to oversee day-to-day shipping operations, coordinate with global partners, and ensure smooth workflow across the supply chain. 

The role involves managing import and export processes, monitoring shipment schedules, and resolving operational challenges to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in international freight forwarding, supply chain management, and customer service, with proven leadership skills to guide, support, and develop the operations team while driving efficiency and business growth. ​

Sales & Operations Executive Key
Responsibilities:


Business Development & Sales 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics services.
  • Prepare and present competitive freight quotations based on customer requirements.
  • Negotiate and close deals with customers to maximize profitability
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align operations with promotional campaigns.

Logistics & Shipment Operations 

  • Coordinate with shipping lines, freight agents, and international partners for smooth execution of import/export shipments.
  • Track and provide regular shipment status updates to customers.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading).
  • Oversee daily freight forwarding operations, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with customs clearance procedures, import/export laws, and trade regulations.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers and clearance teams to avoid delays and penalties.

Team Leadership & Process Management 

  • Train and mentor Sales & Operations Officers to enhance productivity.
  • Monitor team performance using KPIs for logistics and freight operations.
  • Oversee department workflow and maintain high service standards.
  • Update and maintain logistics pricing and freight rates on the company platform.
  • Monitor and optimize the ERP system to ensure data accuracy.
  • Prepare sales and operations reports for management review.

Sales & Operations Executive

Required Skills & Competencies:


  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, logistics, and international trade regulations.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with customers, agents, and shipping lines.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities. 
  • Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Experience with digital freight solutions and ERP systems (Odoo is a plus).
