Egypt strategy towards localizing the green hydrogen industry is based on three main axes, which are the manufacture of green fuels (including green hydrogen, green ammonia, as well as methanol) and the provision of industries complementing the green hydrogen industries (electrical analyzers – solar panels – turbines) in addition to ship refueling services with green fuel.

Maersk completed the first successful operation of supplying a container ship with "methanol"-based green fuel at East Port Said a few days ago.
